Rachel Engelhart, MA, RD, LD

Rachel Engelhart is a registered dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Maryland and a Masters degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University.  She trained as a therapist at Mount Sinai’s Eating and Weight Disorders Clinic and practiced at Children’s National Medical Center’s Behavioral Health and Eating Disorders Program. She specializes in adult and adolescent nutrition and behavior change counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, eating disorders counseling, and self-esteem and body image issues.

Rachel is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Academy of Eating Disorders, and the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians. She has a passion for working with children and adolescents struggling with weight and obesity, self-acceptance, self-esteem, and eating disorders. As the proud mother of two little girls, Rachel understands the realities and challenges inherent in nourishing ourselves and our family. She is passionate about helping parents cultivate a healthy food environment and culture that fuels their children inside and out.
