Greer A. Raggio, PhD
Greer A. Raggio, PhD, MPH, is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in behavioral weight management and bariatrics. Dr. Raggio earned her MPH in Environmental Health from Columbia University, and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She completed specialized postdoctoral training in behavioral medicine at the VA Boston and later at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was awarded a grant by the Harvard Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) to develop a lifestyle modification program for women living with HIV. She has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, and presented her research findings at numerous national conferences. Dr. Raggio has received extensive training in the treatment and prevention of obesity and binge eating. She also specializes in bariatrics, helping patients prepare for and adjust to the dietary and lifestyle changes of bariatric surgery. Dr. Raggio carries expertise in an array of evidence-based treatments for eating and weight problems, mood disorders, and trauma, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused treatments. Additional interests include women’s behavioral health, specifically supporting women through reproductive transitions, and the links between trauma and dysregulated eating.
