Renu Mansukhani, MD
Dr. Renu Mansukhani is an endocrinologist whose practice focuses on obesity medicine and helping patients with weight management. Her focus is on obesity as a biologically based chronic disease, and views her role as a doctor, a dietitian, and psychologist all in one.
Dr. Mansukhani received her medical degree from the Brown University School of Medicine and did her endocrinology fellowship and weight management training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to her clinical experience, she has worked in health policy, with a special interest in advocacy around childhood obesity. She has written numerous scholarly articles regarding childhood obesity prevention and general nutrition and wellness, and is a physician-advocate for a healthier food environment for both adults and kids. She also acts as a guest lecturer in courses for medical students at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and gives talks for physicians on the appropriate use of weight management medication.
Prior to working at NCWW, Dr. Mansukhani served as the Assistant Medical Director for the George Washington University Weight Management Program.
